Bonito are small tuna relatives — fast, aggressive feeders that school near the surface and attack lures with abandon. Strong on the Mediterranean coast (Alexandria, Port Said) and present in the Red Sea, they are the perfect target for beginners wanting fast-paced action. Schools are often spotted by diving birds and surface splashing.
