Emperor fish (Sha'ari) are one of the most prized eating fish in Egypt and the Red Sea. Multiple species exist — the Sky Emperor (Mahsena), Spangled Emperor, Longface Emperor, and others. They are found over sandy bottoms near reefs and respond well to natural bait. Popular target for bottom fishermen from boats and shore.
