A slimmer, longer-beaked cousin of the common bottlenose, often with dark spotting on the belly in adults. It is the resident reef dolphin of Egypt's northern Red Sea, regularly seen around the protected islands off Hurghada.
This is a protected or non-target species — please don't fish for it. If it's accidentally hooked, release it quickly and unharmed.

Observe respectfully; fishing nets and boat strikes are the main threats to these reef dolphins.
