Step by step

  1. 1Double the line and pass it through the eye
  2. 2Tie a simple overhand knot with the doubled line — the hook hangs loose in the middle
  3. 3Pass the loop completely over the hook or lure
  4. 4Wet the knot and pull both ends evenly tight

Pro tip

Wet the line before cinching down — friction burns braided line and costs you breaking strength.
