The fastest line-to-line connection in the world: two overhand knots, done. Ideal when things need to happen fast on the water.

When to use it

  • ·Quick leader changes
  • ·Joining two lines of similar diameter
  • ·Emergency knot after a break-off

Step by step

  1. 1Overlap both lines by about 15 cm
  2. 2Tie an overhand knot with both lines together
  3. 3Pass both ends through the same loop a second time
  4. 4Wet and pull all 4 ends tight at the same time

Pro tip

Works best when both lines are of similar diameter. For very different line strengths, use the Double Uni instead.
